Geographical Indication certified cafés is a program which seeks to promote coffee shops working with 100% Costa Rican coffee, in order to encourage consumption of Costa Rican coffee in the national market.

Cafés must meet a series of requirements and must also be approved by the Geographical Indication commission of the Costa Rica Coffee Institute. This is a developing project, and its main objective includes giving consumers the opportunity to savor an exquisite cup of Costa Rican coffee.
